We can measure the scale and success of what we do in terms of the numbers.
But the real impact we make is more difficult to quantify. It is removing the fear, anxiety and burden of constant worry that can only be gauged by the feedback we get from individual clients.
Our growth to over 22,000 client sessions annually in just twelve years since the service was first piloted has been achieved without any major or national marketing or publicity programmes.
We are now equipping ourselves to spread the word about our service, especially to those groups of vulnerable and isolated older people who are hardest to engage with. We hope to achieve this by working with other voluntary sector partners, old and new, national and local.
To help us with the challenges of expanding the service we are also making improvements to our own IT infrastructure to provide amongst other benefits, remote access for staff working away from our office base.
